What's the difference between lead acid battery and lithium battery?
At present, there are lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries on the market. What's the difference between lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries?
① In terms of price, due to the better heat dissipation function and endurance function of lithium battery, the production process from packaging to sealing is also very strict; Therefore, the production cost is much higher than that of lead-acid battery.
② The main component of positive electrode is lead dioxide, and the main component of negative electrode is lead; When the battery is charged, the main component of both positive and negative electrodes is lead sulfate.

In the working state of lithium battery, the main component of the positive electrode is manganese dioxide, and the main component of the negative electrode is lithium metal or its synthetic metal, which uses non-aqueous electrolyte solution; In the state of charge, lithium alloy metal oxide is usually used as cathode material, graphite is used as anode material, and non-aqueous electrolyte is used as battery.

③ The memory effect is different. After a period of time, the battery goes into sleep state, and the capacity is lower than the normal value; Lead acid battery will have memory effect, so special methods and equipment are needed to activate the battery and restore its normal capacity; Lithium battery has its own characteristics, without memory effect. It only needs 3-5 normal charge discharge cycles to activate the battery and restore its normal capacity.
④ The service life of lead-acid batteries is generally only two years, and the number of complete charge discharge cycles is generally less than 300. The service life of lithium battery is four to five years. It is durable and can be fully charged and discharged for more than 500 times.
⑤ Environmental protection efforts are different. Under the environmental protection policies, in order to protect the environment and reduce pollution, there is pollution caused by improper treatment in the production, use and recycling of lead-acid batteries. However, lithium batteries are relatively environmentally friendly due to their perfect packaging and sealing.
