Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV)
Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) here refers to a traditional hybrid vehicle, which is powered by a fuel engine and an electric motor in parallel. Generally the battery capacity is small and cannot be charged externally, and the energy of the battery is obtained through energy recovery.
Advantages:
(1) No mileage anxiety compared to pure electric vehicles because of the reliance on fuel to provide energy;
(2) Low fuel consumption compared to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles and longer range than regular fuel vehicles with the same tank size. Low-speed and congested roads in urban areas are dominated by electric motors, which are smooth, quiet, and significantly reduce emissions, making them relatively cleaner.
Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)
Unlike HEVs, PHEVs have an on-board power battery that can be recharged by an external power source. Power is provided by the fuel engine and electric motor. This model can switch between pure electric, pure fuel and hybrid fuel-electric modes in real time, etc. For details, refer to Super Hybrid Technology DMi, DHT, and so on.
Advantages:
(1) Plug-in hybrid cars are the perfect transition from pure petrol to pure electric cars, refer to BYD A-class sedan laurel BYD Qinplus dmi, fuel saving and electricity saving, fill up a tank of fuel ran 1250 km, if daily work, can be completely used as a tram.
(2) Handling and comfort, the motor-driven model, with no gearbox, is smooth and powerful.
